Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC "Thermal Power Stations" has successfully completed 2024, surpassing targets across all key indicators.
In particular, in the past year, the system’s enterprises generated 31.9 billion kWh of electricity, exceeding the planned 29.1 billion kWh. The production targets were fulfilled at 110 percent.
In 2024, the enterprises also produced and transmitted 11.1 million Gcal of thermal energy to the grid.
The planned fuel savings by the end of 2024 were 700.5 million cubic meters of natural gas, but the actual savings amounted to 1 billion cubic meters, exceeding the target by 147.9 percent.
The planned savings of 117.8 million kWh of electricity were exceeded as well, with an actual saving of 163.5 million kWh, fulfilling the target at 138.8 percent.
Under the localization program for 26 projects, the target was to produce goods worth 58.9 billion soums, but this figure was achieved at 61.3 billion soums, or 104.0 percent.
For the development of cooperative ties, the target was to purchase services and products worth 200.0 billion soums, and this target was achieved with a value of 209.4 billion soums, or 104.7 percent.
The forecast for reducing imports through the localization and cooperative ties program was set at 20.1 million USD, and actual savings amounted to US$21.0 million, or 104.2 percent of the target.
According to the plan, in 2024, JSC "Thermal Power Stations" was set to utilize US$616.94 million for investment projects across all funding sources. The actual amount utilized was US$646.14 million, achieving 104.7 percent of the target.
In May 2024, the Tashkent TPP launched the investment project "Construction of 2 gas turbine units" with a capacity of 32 MW each.
Moreover, on December 13, 2024, a cogeneration project was successfully launched in the Almazar district as part of the investment project "Implementation of cogeneration projects in 6 mahallas located at the final points of the heat supply system of Tashkent city."
Currently, works are underway on the construction of modern combined-cycle units with a total capacity of 1,065 MW at the Talimardjan TPP and 650 MW at the Navoi TPP.
One of the key tasks for JSC "Thermal Power Stations" is to reduce the cost of production. As a result of measures taken in this direction, the cost of production in 2024 was reduced by 1.95 trillion soums, compared to the planned 1.6 trillion soums, achieving 118 percent of the target.
