The fair was organized by business network MyJob.uz and Karyera+ newspaper at partnership with Uzbekistan GTL, Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company and Global Peer Education.

The event started with solemn opening ceremony and organizers handed over gift certificates to participating companies. The event was followed by seminar dedicated to results of the works of MyJob.uz and Karyera+ newspaper. Caravan Group organized a coffee-break and afterwards the main part of the fair started its work.

This year, the JobFair2013 attracted over 120 companies, working in various areas. Among them are Uzbekistan GTL, Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company, Global Peer Education, UzBAT, UzCase (Fiat Industrial), Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. Office in Uzbekistan, UzCarlsberg, LG Electronics Inc. Office in Uzbekistan, GM-UZBEKISTAN, Unitel (Beeline), Ernst&Young, Uz-Kor Gaz Chemical and others.

The organizers said that some 8,000 jobseekers visited the fairs and 65% of them were young specialists under the age of 35.

The fair was successful as the company found new employees and improved their database of potential workers, as well as promote their brands in Uzbekistan. Jobseekers passed interviews and studied the market.

The fair will continue its work on 18-25 March in online regime. The second online vacancy fair will be held at www.jobfair.uz. The fair allows jobseekers and employees to communicate without leaving their homes or offices.
