Japanese company organizes internships and employment for Uzbek engineers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Muhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov met with the president of Japan’s largest construction, real estate management, and services company, Daito Trust Construction Corporation, Kei Takeuchi, Dunyo news agency reported.

Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Tokyo, Daito Trust Construction Corporation operates more than 100 branches worldwide with an annual turnover of approximately US$11 billion. The company engages in building construction, architectural design, real estate management, development, advertising, real estate sales and financing, hotel business, insurance, as well as residential and bridge construction.

The meeting discussed opportunities for joint projects in construction and architecture, implementation of Japanese technologies, and investments in construction and architectural projects in Uzbekistan. The parties also explored options for training and skills enhancement for Uzbek professionals in the fields of construction, architecture, and engineering. Specifically, plans were made for organizing internships and employment opportunities for Uzbek specialists within the Japanese corporation.

Kei Takeuchi expressed readiness to support the introduction of Japanese seismic safety technologies and earthquake-resistant construction standards in Uzbekistan. The Japanese side also expressed interest in participating in building and infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan, collaborating with the Ministry of Construction and other relevant organizations, leveraging their extensive experience in construction and enhancing seismic resilience of structures.

The activities of the "Japanese Language and Technology Transfer Center", established in April this year at the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov in collaboration with partners from Daito Trust Construction Corporation, were highly appreciated. The center facilitates the placement of highly qualified Uzbek specialists in Japanese companies.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a visit of the Daito Trust Construction Corporation leadership to Uzbekistan, as well as to arrange internships and employment opportunities for 100 highly qualified engineers from Uzbekistan in Japan.
