Japan Govn’t issues US$514,600 to six Uzbek hospitals
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Penitentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan Tsutomu Hiraoka signed grant-contracts on six projects for US$514,600 within no-string aid of Japan government to grass-root projects.

Japanese envoy said: “We are glad that we grant US$514,600 to six regional hospitals in context that 2009 was announced as the Year of Rural Development and Well-being. I hope that this cooperation will serve for improvement of healthcare services in regions of Uzbekistan.”

Central hospital of Baysun district (Surkhandarya region), central hospital of Kiziltepa district (Navoi region), central hospital of Karakul district (Bukhara), Ferghana regional children hospital, Chartak regional hospital (Namangan region) and Andijan regional children hospital received the Japanese grants.

These hospitals will use grants of Japan government to buy medical equipment, like ultrasonic scanning, endoscopes, tools for operation, etc.
