Japan-funded medical project launched in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A project “Equipment with medical equipment of the Scientific-Research Institute of midwifery and gynecology” was opened in Tashkent. Japan government allocated US$3.7 million no-sting aid to realization of the project.

Within the project, the institute received medical equipment for operation and diagnosis wards and others worth US$3.7 million.

Japan allocated credits for US$975 million, no-string aid for US$199 million and technical assistance for US$100 million to Uzbekistan. Japan issued US$42.4 million to realize eight medical projects in Uzbekistan within no-sting aid programme and US$3.98 million within no-sting aid programme to grass-root projects.
