ITU official visits Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Director of the Telecommunication Standardization Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Chaesub Lee held talks at the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communication of Uzbekistan.
Chaesub Lee arrived in Uzbekistan to participate at ITU regional forum “Bridging the Standardization Gap” and regional preparatory meeting to the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA)-2016.
At the meeting, the sides considered perspectives of developing of cooperation between Uzbekistan and ITU, developing scientific-research potential, etc.
The sides also discussed issues of activities of ITU on developing standards for use of modern technologies, Internet of Things, Smart City, and other directions.
The sides also agreed to organize seminars and trainings on ICT standards with attraction leading experts and foreign partners.
