A delegation of Italy led by Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and Senator Gianni Vernetti held negoriations with deputy chairperson of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Farruha Muhiddinova on 21 May, UzA reported.

The sides underlined importance of legal base for developing relation between Uzbekistan and Italy, the report said.

The officials exchanged opinion on cooperation between legislative bodies of two states, current affairs and perspectives of development of inter-parliamentary relations.

Gianni Vernetti said the visit aimed at consideration of issues of further development and strengthening multilateral cooperation between countries, including in politics, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres.

The Italian delegation held talks at Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan.
