Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Decree of the President “On approval of the strategy“ Digital Uzbekistan - 2030 ”and measures for its effective implementation” was adopted.

The document approved:

• Strategy "Digital Uzbekistan - 2030" and "Roadmap" for its implementation;

• Programs for digital transformation of regions and industries in 2020-2022.

Within the framework of digital transformation programs for regions and industries, over 400 information systems, electronic services and other software products in various areas of socio-economic development of regions will be introduced in these years.

By decree, in 2020 and by the end of the first quarter of 2021, digital transformation projects will be implemented in 29 model districts (cities).

From November 1, 2020, a portion of at least 5 percent of the total funds of investment projects, as well as of international financial institutions, foreign government financial organizations and donor countries, will be directed to digital components.

In accordance with the Decree, the “Digital Department” project will be implemented in the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications and the Ministry of Justice, as well as in their subordinate organizations.

Within the framework of the project, in particular, by January 1, 2020, digitalization of all administrative procedures and operational processes will be carried out with the organization of paperless electronic document management and office work.

Starting from 1 August 2021, it will be possible to pay state duties, fees, fines and other mandatory payments online.
