Istomin, Elgin reach quarterfinals of ATP San Jose

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan and Mikhail Elgin of Russia advanced the second round of the ATP San Jose (United States) in double’s tournament.

In the first round match, the pair defeated Nicholas Monroe of the USA and Simon Stadler of Germany in straight sets 6/4 and 6/4.

Istomin and Elgin broke their opponents three times and lose one of their own serves. They recorded three aces and made two double faults. Their opponents committed one double fault.

Denis Istomin and Mikhail Elgin will face Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Scott Lipsky of the USA in quarterfinals.
