The Israeli Ambassador, Dr. Hillel Newman, in his address to the participants of one of the seminars stated that alternative renewable energy is the future of mankind, and that the time will come when the classic types of carbon energy will reach their peak, and that renewable energy will be essential.
He commended the fact that the Republic of Uzbekistan is investing efforts in this field, highlighting the fact that there is a large ecological party in the parliament of Uzbekistan , an active ecological movement and community and presidential decrees and cabinet decisions on the increasing of the percentage of renewable energy. Ambassador Newman said that this proves the seriousness of Uzbekistan and its leadership in the region in this regard. Israel has become a leader in the applied sciences in these fields, especially in the Research and Development of modern technology. More than ninety percent of homes in Israel have solar heating photovoltaic panels which supply heated water. Many have added panels which generate electricity and sell this electricity to the electric company of Israel, thus generating additional income to the household. Instead of paying for electricity, they have an income from their solar electricity. Also, Israel will be launching the first fully electric automobile in the near future.
