Israeli doctors examine women in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Israeli doctors from Hadassah University Hospital Dr. Michael Icekson, plastic surgeon of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery Unit at Hadassah University Hospital and Dr. Igor Nemirovsky, oncologist of Oncology Unit at Hadassah University Hospital, carried out consultations and examination of 15 women with breast cancer at the Medical rehabilitation complex Salus Vita on 18 May.
The project is organized by the National Breast Cancer Association of Uzbekistan (NBCAU), the Ministry of Public Health of Uzbekistan, the Academy of Science of Uzbekistan, the Institute of Immunology, the National Cancer Center and Salus Vita Medical Center.
Igor Nemirovsky examined 13 women with breast cancer and gave them his recommendations. Among patients were those, who already undergo operation and those, who just started preparation to operation.
Nemirovsky underlined that treatment of breast cancer in Uzbekistan is in high level and local specialists use various methods of treatment and diagnosis of the breast cancer.
Michael Icekson examined two women, who need plastic operation. At the examinations, he gave his recommendations to women.
Michael Icekson said that he visited Uzbekistan for the first time. He said that the doctors are high skilled. He expressed hope that the cooperation between Uzbek and Israeli doctors will continue.
After examination of patients, Israeli doctors familiarized with the work of Salus Vita and communicated with doctors.
