Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 October  2024, Ismatulla Irgashev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, met with Konstantin Obolensky, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Uzbekistan.

The sides exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan and the international community’s efforts to prevent a humanitarian crisis in the country.

Ambassador Obolensky praised Uzbekistan’s efforts in establishing long-term peace and stability in Afghanistan and its continued humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.

He highlighted Uzbekistan’s crucial role in ensuring regional stability and security and expressed hope for the continuation of fruitful cooperation in the future.
