The fruitful outcomes of the Uzbek-Russian meeting at the highest level that took place in Moscow last April, when the two sides signed a number of bilateral documents, helped bolster the economic, cultural-humanitarian and security cooperation.
The two parties to today’s talks stated with satisfaction that despite the ongoing global financial crisis, Uzbekistan and Russia have been able to sustain positive dynamics in bilateral trade, the volumes of which grew by more than 12 percent in 2012 to reach 7.6 billion US dollars. Likewise, the structure of the mutual trade turnover also has undergone an encouraging transformation.
