Irmatov chosen again, Al Ghamdi gets chance
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Two-time AFC Referee of the Year Ravshan Irmatov (Uzbekistan) has once again being selected to officiate in the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Group stage.

Uzbek Irmatov and Khalil Al Ghamdi, of Saudi Arabia, were both named in the match officials appointment list announced by FIFA for matches 17-24.

The 32-year-old Irmatov, who handled the opening match between South Africa and Mexico on June 11, takes charge of England’s next game in Group C against Algeria in Cape Town on June 18.

Al Ghamdi will be in the middle of the France-Mexico Group A match in Polokwane on June 17.

Asian referees will be involved in three out of eight matches as announced by FIFA’s Referee Committee for matches 17-24.
