Iran, coached by Ali Daei, reached Czech Republic capital Prague on Tuesday after their 10-day camp in Spain and are scheduled to play local side Sparta on Wednesday.

Team Melli were reduced to twice-daily practice sessions in Spain following cancellation of their planned three friendlies against Spanish clubs Marbella and Malaga and English side Charlton Athletic.

Iran were drawn into Group B in the final round of World Cup qualifiers along side Korea Republic, Saudi Arabia, DPR Korea and UAE. They begin their campaign against Saudi Arabia away on September 6.

It will be the first test for Rauf Inileev’s Uzbekistan who are also preparing for the World Cup qualifiers. The Central Asians have also set up a friendly with DPR Korea on August 29 at home.

Uzbekistan will begin their fourth round qualifying campaign against Qatar on September 6. Australia, Bahrain and Japan are other teams in their group.
