Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 10 January 2025, Iran has reduced the fees charged to Uzbek drivers by US$400. The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan reported this development.
This decision is the result of systematic efforts by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport to develop international freight transportation, particularly for exports and imports through Iranian territory.
The Ministry continues negotiations aimed at further reducing fees for national carriers, which is expected to improve conditions and reduce costs for international road transport.
Under the 2025 state budget law, Uzbekistan has set a zero entry and transit fee rate for cargo transport from Iran. The relevant appendix to the document specifies that this measure has been adopted on a reciprocal basis, providing mutual conditions for both parties.
