Representatives of German companies, working in many industries and banking sector participated at the meeting. A delegation of Uzbekistan including representatives of Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade, Uzinfoinvest agency and the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information participated at the event.
Hamburg is one of the important economic centers of Germany. Its GDP makes up 90 billion euros or about 4% of Germany’s GDP. GDP per capita makes up 50,000 euros, Jahon news agency reported.
Participants received information of Anti-crisis programme of Uzbekistan, which ensured stable economic development of Uzbekistan and achievement of positive figures in all key sectors of economy despite financial and economic crisis.
Representative of Commerzbank Axel Bommersheim praised creation of Navoi free industrial and economic zone (FIEZ). He said that the realization of the joint projects in Navoi FIEZ can be considered as new opportunity for industrial and technical development of Uzbekistan.
Representative of Kuhne+Nagel Lothar Giffhorn underlined increasing interest of German business circles to Uzbekistan. He said that logistic center, which is created in Navoi, will help to form optimal ways of cargo transportation.
