Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 August 2024, an official opening ceremony of the “International Trade Center Termez” was held in Termez, Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, Acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade of Kyrgyzstan Nazarbek Malaev, Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebaev, and other representatives.
The event highlighted that under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s leadership, Uzbekistan places a special emphasis on strengthening friendly relations with all countries in the region.
The “International Trade Center Termez” was established to create a favorable business environment, simplify administrative procedures, and provide necessary conditions for entrepreneurs.
It was expressed that the center would become a key platform for expanding trade relations and implementing joint projects in the region.
At the center, Afghan citizens will be able to engage in trade, receive education, and access medical and social services.
Following the official opening, participants of the event were familiarized with the activities of the “International Trade Center Termez.”
Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov also held bilateral meetings with Acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan Abdul Ghani Baradar and Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev.
