Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A recent meeting between UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan, Akiiko Fujii, Deputy Resident Representative Anas Fayad Karman, Jokargy Kenes Chairman of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orinbayev, and Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Farhod Ermanov, opened up new prospects for collaboration in Karakalpakstan.
The leaders explored pathways for implementing innovative, climate-oriented solutions tailored to the unique environmental and social challenges in the Aral Sea region.
Drawing on UNDP’s 25-year presence in the region, the discussions focused on improving access to resources such as water, sustainable agricultural practices, and economic empowerment initiatives.
Through strong partnerships and a people-centered approach, UNDP remains dedicated to fostering resilience, stability, and a brighter future for the people of Karakalpakstan.
