Innovative public procurement discuss in Kyrgyzstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Integration of foreign innovative models of public procurement management, as well as the application of modern technologies of public procurement in the field of medicine, became the central theme of the Second International Open Conference "Effective Management of Public Procurement - 2018", which was held on 17-19 May 2018 in the village of Sary-Oy of the Issyk-Kul oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic.

This event is a continuation of the series of seminars on public procurement in the framework of the First International Conference of 2017, devoted to the theme "green economy". Organizers, the international company Crown Agents and the Training Center of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic in Central Asia, devoted the conference to the topic of innovative technologies in the field of public procurement, expanding the composition and geography of the conference participants.

The conference was attended by leading experts and experts in public procurement from Great Britain, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The event was also attended by representatives of state bodies, business structures of Kazakhstan and CIS countries, representatives of the public, as well as the media.

The conference participants were presented with interesting reports on introduction of the electronic healthcare system E-health, the use of innovative technologies - drones for the delivery of medicines, hacker attacks on electronic public procurement systems, technologies. Blocking counterfeiting in public health, open contracts and standardization as a tool to improve the efficiency of procurement activities , as well as on the participation of small and medium-sized businesses in public procurement were considered.

During the conference, all experts agreed that innovation should be implemented even if they are not fully mastered by local experts. Innovative technologies are the basis for sustainable development and prosperity of the state economy and business. In international terminology, the concept was called leapfrogging.

The conference was also attended by representatives of the National Project Management Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, among them Head of the Specialized Office of Public Procurement Control Nariman Davydov and Chief Specialist of the International Relations Department Azamat Tahirov. Representatives of Uzbekistan noted the importance and urgency of holding such large-scale events to expand the dialogue between the state, business and the international community.
