Inha University in Tashkent hosts 2015 Google I/O Extended
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Inha University in Tashkent hosted a 2015 Google I/O Extended on 6 June 2015.

2015 Google I/O Extended has arrived to Uzbekistan to provide IT community in Tashkent with the latest concepts of Google’s innovations. One of the key objectives of holding such an event is to become familiar with the latest innovations and unique solutions in IT world, which can also be a great source of inspiration for IT-minded youth to start a small project that can become a great achievement in their start-up career.

During the event, over 130 students from IUT and other universities such as WIUT and MDIST had a great opportunity to save their time and money on watching the Google I/O 2015, which was held in California, USA.

They did not have to go all the way to the other part of the world when they have the capability to observe it in Uzbekistan. Google I/O 2015 is a software developer-conference held annually since 2008. It structures highly technical, deep sessions concentrated on development of web, mobile and enterprise applications using Android, Chrome, Chrome OS, Google APIs, Google Web Toolkit, App Engine and others. The meaning of the Google “I/O” term is “Innovation in the Open”.

Google I/O 2015 Extended IUT event was officially opened by the IUT’s Rector Mr. Shermatov. Followed by the speech of Mr. Rector, the participants had a chance to watch the best keynotes of Google’s main I/O 2015 event, listen to the presentation of representatives from Samsung Company, NewMax Technologies and Web News portal www.daryo.uz.

There were different questions raised by the students regarding the main concepts of start-up projects, hints on managing the whole procedure of developing the start-ups and other unique tips, which are going to be great tools for students who are in the stage of innovation. Second half of the day was concentrated on practices and various coding contests and competitions.

The “Code Labs” sessions led by professional coders with vast experience in software development field. During practical sessions, VR (Virtual Reality) application trainings, supervised by Mr. Shakhruz Ashirov, focused on providing basics of building VR applications. The practical sessions were concluded with front-end frameworks such as React and Angular, which was managed by developers of NewMax Technologies.

To sum up, Google I/O 2015 Extended IUT has been a great motivation for young specialists: to get acquainted with the latest in the technology, mobile and software innovations; team-up with other students and developers to become as one Developers Community and share unique views with innovative ideas that can assist in strengthening future IT community of Uzbekistan.
