Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the first quarter of 2022, commercial banks of Uzbekistan sold foreign currency to individuals for US$1.73 billion, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan reports.
The growth in the sale of foreign currency to individuals compared to the same period in 2021 amounted to 69% or US$709 million.
At the same time, individuals in January-March 2022 sold currencies worth US$2.11 billion, which is 38% or US$585 million more compared to the same period in 2021.
