Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The khokim of Ferghana region Khayrullo Bozorov held a meeting with Smita Pant, the Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan.
During the discussion, they addressed issues related to strengthening interregional cooperation. The khokim congratulated the ambassador on her visit to Ferghana and emphasized that the relationship between Uzbekistan and India, based on friendship, mutual respect, and trust, has reached a new level.
Bozorov briefed Ms. Pant on the economic and investment potential of the region and presented opportunities for cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture, education, healthcare, tourism, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and more.
The ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted the importance of developing interregional ties across all fields. Both sides agreed to collaborate on existing and prospective projects.
Additionally, Smita Pant visited Ferghana State University and the Ferghana Institute of Public Health, where she discussed ways to enhance educational ties.
