Improvement of securities market legislation of Uzbekistan discussed in Seoul

The group includes representatives of the Ministry of Justice of South Korea, Korea Stock Exchange, State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for privatization, demonopolization and development of competition, Center for coordination and development of securities market, Central Depository and Uzbekistan Stock Exchange.

The meetings discussed results of study of main legal framework of Uzbekistan on securities market, which was conducted by the Ministry of Justice of South Korea, and proposals on its improvement, the Center for coordination and development of securities market said.

Representatives of the Ministry of Justice of South Korea underlined great work conducted by Uzbekistan to improve legislation on securities market based on recommendations of the Korean Stock Exchange. They expressed their assurance that introduced changes will positively impact to development of the securities market of Uzbekistan and economy of the country as a whole.

The sides agreed to hold next meeting of the joint group in Tashkent. The time of the meeting will be set soon.
