Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the International Monetary Fund, headed by the head of the IMF mission in Uzbekistan, Ron van Roden, visited the Central Bank, where they met with the leadership of the regulator.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed the current macroeconomic situation in the country, measures taken to develop the banking and financial system, as well as the ongoing monetary policy of the Central Bank.

At the same time, the meeting discussed the macroeconomic forecasts of the Central Bank for the next year, as well as possible challenges and risks at the global level.

The head of the IMF mission called the discussion with the leadership of the Central Bank constructive and fruitful. According to him, despite the pandemic, Uzbekistan has made significant progress in ensuring macroeconomic stability.
