IICA and NISI under the President of Kyrgyz Republic sign cooperation agreement

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 July 2024, during the scientific-practical conference "Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan: Synergy of Strategic Partnership," the leaders of the International Institute of Central Asia (IICA), Javlon Vakhobov, and the National Institute of Strategic Initiatives at the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (NISI), Sanjar Mukambetov, signed an agreement on cooperation between the two analytical centers.

The signing of this document aims to establish direct scientific and research links to develop specific joint proposals and initiatives for further expansion and deepening of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations.

The agreement envisages forms of cooperation such as organizing reciprocal visits, joint participation in regional or international events, discussing current issues in Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan relations, as well as contemporary trends in global politics and economics through joint scientific conferences, seminars, round tables, and expert group meetings.

NISI at the President of Kyrgyzstan was formed in March 2024 as a result of the merger of the National Institute of Strategic Studies and the Institute of Strategic Analysis and Assessments at the President of Kyrgyzstan. The Institute focuses on implementing and developing a system of high-quality scientific and analytical consulting, facilitating the development of scientifically grounded, carefully calculated, and balanced proposals and initiatives for the highest authorities.
