The press release said the research was prepared within consultative programme of the World Bank on improvement of investment climate.
About 1,280 enterprises, working in all regions of Uzbekistan, participated in the research, the press release added.
The research evaluates labour and financial expenses of enterprises to preparation and submission of financial, tax and statistic reports, tax inspection, study of tax legislation, consultations, purchase of special software and hardware for conducting of tax and corresponding reports.
According to research, enterprises submit in average 10 financial reports a year, which requires 95 man-hours to prepare them. The research allowed to reveal the most difficult and expensive procedures and prepare recommendations on further simplification of procedures of paying taxes and tax administration.
Vsevolod Payevskiy, Project Manager of Uzbekistan Business Enabling Environment Project, said that expenses on tax administration and conducting statistic reporting in all enterprises of Uzbekistan can make up 0.7% of GDP or 267.2 billion soums.
The research also shows that preparation of statistics reports requires the same labour expenses as preparation of financial reports. In average, enterprises spent 41 man-hours to fill various statistics reports as year.
