IFC conducted a press-briefing on importance of strategic international partner in credit bureau capacity building
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On April 23, 2013, IFC Azerbaijan-Central Asia Financial Markets Infrastructure Advisory Services Project (ACAFI) conducted press-briefing at the Word Bank Country Office on attraction of strategic international partner for credit bureau development. ACAFI Project is financed by the Government of Switzerland through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

Fabrizio Fraboni, IFC Credit Bureau Advisor in Europe and Central Asia, took part in this event. During the press briefing, Fabrizio emphasized importance of strategic international partner participation in development of credit bureau and financial sector in general. Particularly, he noticed that competent approach in selection process of strategic international partner will allow effective credit information sharing system to be established undertime in accordance with the best international practice.

IFC provides advisory services on attraction of strategic international partners for credit bureaus’ development in many countries of the world.

In the nearest future, IFC will conclude an agreement with the credit bureau “Credit information analytical center” to provide advisory services on attraction of strategic international partner on competitive basis to strength building capacity of the credit bureau in accordance with the advanced international experience.

This work is carried out in the framework of the Uzbek Presentational Decree “On measures of further cardinal improvement of business environment and give more freedom for entrepreneurship”, dated July 18, 2012.
