ICT Summit to be held in Tashkent in late September
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Eighth National Summit on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) – ICT Summit 2010 – will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 21 September 2010. ICT Summit is one of the most important events of the Information and Communication Technologies Week "InfoCom" that is held in Uzbekistan annually in September.

In 2010 as in previous years, ICT Summit will open the Information and Communication Technologies Week "InfoCom".

ICT summit this year will attract about 350 delegates from India, Spain, Israel, Korea, Russia, US, Turkey, Czech Republic and key IT market players of Uzbekistan. The summit will held in three topical directions – strategy and development, technology and infrastructure, applications and solutions.

During ICT summit, about 50 reports dedicated to various issues will be presented, including implementation of national programmes of ICT development, experience of ICT introduction in various spheres of lives, e-government, e-healthcare, ICT specialists training, infrastructure development, media business development, etc.

The ICT SUMMIT 2010 is organized by the Coordination Council for Development of Computerization and Information and Communication Technologies, the Committee on information and communication issues of Oliy Majlis Legislative Chamber, the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan (UzACI), ICT Policy Project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uzbekistan and Association of IT Companies and Organizations of Uzbekistan.
