ICT Summit 2014 starts to registration of participants, lecturers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Registration of participants and lecturers of the Summit on Information and Communication Technologies started in Uzbekistan. The summit will be held in Tashkent on 23 September within ICT Week InfoCom-2014.

Every year, the Summit on Information and Communication Technologies becomes a venue for key players in ICT of Uzbekistan, CIS and foreign countries who are interested in establishing contacts and partnerships, discuss latest developments and exchange views on sensitive issues of ICT development.

The purpose of ICT Summit is to create a platform to showcase of achievements and opportunities from introduction of ICT in various spheres of life and activity, the trends of information and communication sphere development, as well as stimulating the development of the ICT sector in Uzbekistan and expansion of international cooperation.

This year, it is expected that representatives of South Korea, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Estonia, Germany, Netherlands, Czech Republic and other countries will participate in the event. The organizers are expecting that over 500 people will attend the event.

General topics of discussions include trends and major changes in regulatory policy, achievements and problems in implementation of national programs for ICT development experience of ICT introduction in various sectors of life, infrastructure development and other sensitive issues.

In ICT Summit 2014 the participants will consider reports on three main areas: “ICT in the Public Sector”, “ICT in business”, “Internet and Information Resources”. At the conclusion of the event the recommendations and Resolution of the Summit will be adopted.

The organizers said that the lecturer should submit thesis of their reports to the organizers till 5 September, while the participants can register till 10 September. The registration can be conducted via official website of the summit.

The ICT Summit 2014 is organized by Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Information and Coordination Council for development of computerization and information and communication technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Committee for Communications, Information and Telecommunication Technologies, Association of IT Enterprises and Organizations of Uzbekistan and ICTNEWS magazine.
