ICT Summit 2011 to be held in Tashkent on 27 September
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 September 2011 Tashkent will host the Annual National Summit on Information and Communication Technologies – ICT Summit 2011 – a regional level event held within the frame of the Week of Information and Communication Technologies – INFOCOM, which is one of the most important events in the ICT field in Uzbekistan and the region.

This event is aimed for not only the national audience, but for the audiences from the neighboring and far abroad countries as well.

ICT Summit 2011 is organized by the Coordination Council for development of computerization and ICT, the Committee on information and communication technologies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis (the Parliament of Uzbekistan), the Uzbek Agency for Communications and Information (UzACI), CIB GROUP Company and the Association of IT Companies and Organizations of Uzbekistan.

The main objective of the ICT Summit is to provide a favorable foundation for demonstration of the new trends and achievements from introducing the ICT into various spheres of life, as well as to discuss the prospects of the ICT development and expand the range of partners together with facilitating a rapid development of the ICT sector.

The Summit will discuss such issues as regulatory policies in the ICT field, ICT for social development, development of the software industry, ICT in public administration, development of the media business, e-commerce, e-health care, establishment of specialized scientific-and-technical zones and supportive infrastructure for business and innovational activities, the role of government in this process, and etc.

The participants will get the opportunity to highlight the most significant issues and recommendations in the Resolution of the Summit.

It is expected that over 400 delegates from Uzbekistan and other countries will participate at the event.
