ICT Ministry hosts meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 February, the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan, Santosh Jha.

First Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Olimjon Umarov emphasized the great attention and practical efforts of the Ambassador of India to our country, Santosha Jha, to develop information technologies in Uzbekistan. He also noted the growing interest in the Uzbek market, citing the unifying factors of the two countries.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in public administration and promoting innovation in the real sector of the economy, stimulating the growth of the digital economy, including the introduction of integrated automated production management systems, creating favorable conditions for the development of electronic commerce.

They also discussed the expansion of technology parks and coworking centers, investment projects related to the implementation of joint projects in Uzbekistan with leading Indian companies on cybersecurity and network modernization, the development of software products, information systems and resources.

The parties noted the great potential for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in the field of information technology and expressed their readiness to make every effort to strengthen it.

During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of mutual interest, including the exchange of experience in the field of ICT, the expansion of cooperation and other important issues.
