Participants underlined that Uzbekistan increased quality and accessibility of education and it implements national programme on training specialists. Information and communication technologies are effectively used in education process. It was said that the law “On informatization” creates ground for use of information resources and systems at national education environment.

The law determines several important directions in development of informatization in education sector: main state policy in education, processes of formation on state information systems and information resources, their protection and others.

Study of implementation of the law showed that the bodies carry out works directed at its implementation. The educational establishments are equipped with computers in line with the set schedule and the computer classes are connected to Internet and ZiyoNet education network. The work on improving computers skills of teachers is conducted.

Participants noted that there were shortages. In particular, departmental information networks are not developed and they are not integrated to single information space of Uzbekistan. It was also said that low number and quality of educational information resources, week protection of information resources and systems, etc

Participants underlined importance of securing youth at internet and implementation of measures to protect them from information, harming them mentally and physically, as well as prevent use of Internet by destructive forces.

At the end of the committee, the participants adopted decisions, directed at full implementation of the law at the system of Public Education Ministry and the Center for Secondary Special, Professional Education of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.
