Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Inspectors from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) are in Uzbekistan to conduct a scheduled aviation security inspection, which is carried out every few years.
A group of ICAO auditors from 17 to 29 May 2023 will visit the Uzaviatsia agency, Uzbekistan Airways JSC and its subdivisions, Uzaeronavigatsia State Unitary Enterprise, Panorama Airways and Humo Air, the Center for Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The inspectors will conduct a comprehensive audit of the aviation security system in Uzbekistan, in particular, by checking the practical implementation of the relevant ICAO requirements and standards at Tashkent and Samarkand airports.
It is important to note that this audit is one of the most important objective tools for assessing the aviation security system in civil aviation. The successful completion of such an audit is very important for the continued operation of national airlines in the global market. On 28 May, the ICAO audit team will present a preliminary report on the results of the audit.
