Huawei strengthens partner ecosystem in Uzbekistan to accelerate digital transformation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 August 2023, Huawei, together with partners CA Distribution and Marvel Uzbekistan, held Partner Summit 2023. On an annual basis, the event brings together system integrators and distribution partners of Huawei Enterprise in Uzbekistan to discuss global and local trends in the field of ICT, prospects for the development of partner business, Huawei technology solutions and the possibilities of their application to accelerate the digital transformation of Uzbekistan.

The partnership summit, held under the motto Grow Together, Win the Future, has become a traditional platform for interaction with local IT market players in order to implement joint digital projects. At the event, senior executives from Huawei’s corporate division gave an overview of the latest products and technologies, broader industry trends, and business opportunities for local partners.

The summit participants were IT managers and specialists, engineers, managers and owners of specialized companies involved in the construction of ICT infrastructure. Representatives of higher educational institutions, being partners in the training of digital personnel in the country, also took part in the event.

In his opening speech, Chen Jiakai, CEO of Huawei in Uzbekistan, spoke about the company’s achievements in building a favorable ecosystem and business development plans in the country. “The introduction of innovations in the digital infrastructure, continuous investments in research and development, as well as in support of the educational sector, allow us to work closely with clients and partners in Uzbekistan to deeply integrate ICT technologies with various industries. Our goal is to accelerate digitalization, stimulate the digital economy, and together create new value for all areas of life,” said Chen Jiakai.

One of the main topics of the summit was the impact of digital transformation on increasing the focus of public services on people. Hong Eng Koh, Chief Scientist for Public Sector Solutions of Huawei EBG Global Division, presented successful examples of the implementation of digital strategies in foreign countries, and also noted the achievements of Uzbekistan in building a digital state in recent years, taking into account the increase in positions in the UN global e-government development ranking. He stressed that the success of digital transformation is influenced by many critical factors that differ from country to country in areas such as politics, economic conditions, access to digital technologies and digital literacy. Building a local "technological ecosystem" based on cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data storage and processing systems, advanced data transmission technologies is also crucial.

Andrey Pak, General Manager of Marvel Uzbekistan, which has been a partner of Huawei for 3 years, spoke at the event. He emphasized that during cooperation, a number of projects were implemented in various sectors of the market of Uzbekistan, as well as in Mongolia and other countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus. “Together with Huawei, we are engaged in a vigorous process of innovation. At first glance, the participation of various ecosystem players in these processes may not be noticeable to an ordinary person, but mutual support between our companies allows us to establish the process of promoting the latest technologies to the Uzbek market to solve everyday problems of society,” said Andrey Pak.

Mikhail Tsyplakov, Director of CA Distribution, shared in his speech that the company’s priority for the coming years is to increase the volume of support for its partners in all areas - technical support for pre-sales and post sales teams, support in the implementation of joint marketing activities and programs, comprehensive training on specialized technologies of partner employees, customers, as well as young specialists of the country, expanding the availability of demonstration samples for the latest products, the availability of the most demanded and critical equipment in warehouses for fast deliveries. “We still consider the level of technical training of specialists in the industry to be the main challenge, we will devote a lot of time and resources to this area in the coming years together with our partners,” Mikhail Tsyplakov added.
