Huawei showcases innovative solutions for sigital transformation in education at ThinkAI Forum during Tech Carnival 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 May, Tashkent hosted the ThinkAI: Smart Education Forum as part of the regional Huawei Tech Carnival 2025. The forum focused on the intelligent transformation of the education sector, bringing together experts, government officials, and partners under the theme “Accelerating the Intelligent World” to discuss cutting-edge ICT solutions driving digitalization in education across the Middle East and Central Asia.
In his opening address, Rustam Karimjonov, Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, highlighted the strategic importance of Huawei's partnership in developing digital skills among youth. “Building digital competencies in the younger generation is a national priority. Our collaboration with Huawei has played a vital role in this effort — the launch of ICT academies at top universities, implementation of international certification programs, and organization of tech competitions have broadened educational horizons and prepared young professionals for the demands of the digital economy,” he emphasized.
Huawei’s Director of Strategic Development for the Middle East and Central Asia, Tsun Liang, underscored the company’s commitment to modernizing education through smart technologies. “Our mission goes beyond providing technology — we are creating the conditions that prepare students for the future of the digital economy. We are building an ecosystem where education is flexible, intelligent, and aligned with real-world needs,” he stated.
A key highlight of the forum was the emphasis on international cooperation. Professor Mohamed Jemni, Director of the ICT Department at ALECSO and Vice President of UNESCO’s IITE, spoke about the importance of joint initiatives between Huawei and UNESCO in promoting inclusive and future-oriented education. He praised the collaborative efforts for fostering resilience and sustainability in learning systems.
Mehedi Hasan Limon, Vice President for Education and Healthcare at Huawei in the Middle East and Central Asia, presented the company’s Smart Education 1+3 solution, which addresses all key areas of digital transformation in education — from classrooms to research labs to institutional management. “More than 2,800 universities and 500,000 schools worldwide have adopted our solutions. We aim to make digital learning accessible, scalable, and sustainable. The launch of the Digital Training 2.0 program is designed to prepare the next generation of ICT professionals and fundamentally transform education systems,” he explained.
