Ambassador of China to Uzbekistan Yu Hongjun said in interview to China International Radio that during the visit Chinese leader Hu Jintao and Uzbek President Islam Karimov will exchange opinions on the Chinese-Uzbek relations, development of the SCO and other issues of mutual interest.

Yu Hongjun said that the interested departments of the sides will sign several agreement about cooperation. The sides pay great attention to the visit of Hu Jintao, he added.

Ambassador said: “We are sure that the visit’s results will determine new directions of development of bilateral ties and will give new impulse for cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in various sectors, present new opportunities and draw perspectives of the SCO development.”

“They will be useful for ensuring peace and stability in the region for mutual beneficial cooperation among the SCO member states and their overall development”, the envoy added.
