Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on science, education, culture and sports heard information from a number of ministries and departments on the work being done to achieve target indicators of budget expenditures and development programs for 2022.
Information on this issue was provided by representatives of the ministries of higher and secondary specialized education, public education, preschool education, culture, sports development, tourism and cultural heritage, and other departments.
It was noted that the relevant presidential decree from 30 December 2021 approved the targets for 118 development programs of 40 ministries and departments related to the use of budget funds for 2022-2024. It is recommended to listen to the reports of the heads of ministries and departments on their implementation in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
According to the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, the target for 2022 envisages the allocation of 4.14 trillion soums from the republican budget to the ministry, another 2.72 trillion soums to the ministry and its subordinate institutions.
During the reporting period, the annual cost estimate of the ministry for the first half of this year was approved in the amount of 1.38 trillion soums with changes in the funds allocated for budget expenditures and development programs.
Also, for the reporting period, the state of disbursement of the allocated funds, the total amount of expenses realized under the UzASBO program is 978. 77 billion soums. Cash expenses were executed by 402.02 billion soums less than those specified in the plan.
During the hearing, the members of the committee addressed the responsible ministry with questions to explain the reasons for the late implementation of target indicators and others, gave appropriate recommendations for the timely elimination of existing problems.
The meeting also provided information on the work carried out in the country to further popularize folk art and amateur art, preserve the national cultural and spiritual heritage, and comprehensively develop art and artistic creativity.
It was noted that in order to further improve the spiritual, moral and cultural level of the population, the development of theater, music, choreography, variety and circus art, in accordance with paragraph 5 of Annex 7 of the relevant presidential decree, the Ministry of Culture was determined to allocate 727.9 billion soums.
In this regard, the Ministry of Culture decided to launch 3,300 culture and art circles in children’s music and art schools in 2022, of which 1,000 have been approved, planned and implemented.
At the meeting, the participants agreed to establish practical cooperation with the committee and the competent ministries to eliminate the existing problems.
The corresponding decision of the committee was made on the issues on the agenda.
