Hotels under Rotana brand to start operating in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 July, Minister of Culture and Tourism Ozodbek Nazarbekov met with a member of the Board of Directors of the Rotana Hotels and Resorts Corporation (Rotana Hotel Management) Hussein al-Novais.

During the meeting, a high-ranking guest from the United Arab Emirates noted that he was visiting Uzbekistan for the first time, and that he was impressed by the historical and modern appearance of the country, as well as the reforms being carried out here. He also noted that the ongoing work to promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan is insufficient and suggested closer cooperation in this direction in the future.

The participation of the corporation in the events held within the framework of the 25th anniversary session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), which will be held in October this year in Samarkand, and projects implemented within its framework were discussed.

The foreign guest was provided with detailed information about the tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan and ongoing reforms in the field of tourism, as well as a presentation of major investment projects.

At the end of the meeting, Hussein al-Novais emphasized the readiness to open new hotels under the Rotana Corporation brand in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.

In order to ensure the quality of service in Rotana brand hotels based on world standards, along with the involvement of high-quality personnel from abroad, projects were studied to train the youth of Uzbekistan to improve their skills in the service sector in ROTANA brand hotels around the world.

An agreement was reached with a member of the board of directors of Rotana Hotel Management Corporation, Hussein al-Novais, to soon host a special working group of the company in Uzbekistan and begin work on joint projects.
