“HORECA EXPO UZBEKISTAN 2024”: Hospitality and restaurant business in focus

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 October 2024, Tashkent hosted the inaugural international specialized exhibition of the hospitality and restaurant industry, “HORECA EXPO UZBEKISTAN 2024,” which brought together over 1,000 HoReCa specialists from Uzbekistan and Central Asia, Europe, and Asia.

The exhibition was officially opened by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee, Umid Shadiev; the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhabov; the head of the economic cooperation representation of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Uzbekistan, Michael Wimmer; and the Deputy Head of Mission and Head of the Swiss Cooperation Program in Uzbekistan, Andrean Fink.

More than 50 exhibitors presented their innovations, technologies, and solutions for the hotel and restaurant business, making the event a unique platform for exchanging experiences, discussing current trends, and concluding beneficial partnership agreements. As a result of the exhibition, over 20 partnership agreements were signed.

“HORECA EXPO UZBEKISTAN 2024” became a key event for HoReCa professionals. Within the framework of the exhibition, an international conference titled “Innovative Trends in the Hospitality Sector” was organized, where leading experts from the HoReCa industry shared their knowledge and practical experience.

During the conference, opened by Umid Shadiev, relevant topics were discussed, including digitalization in hospitality, eco-friendly solutions in the hotel business, marketing trends, and information about new technologies for optimizing restaurant operations, such as automatic ordering and payment systems.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about successful case studies implementing “green” technologies in the hospitality sector, such as a project utilizing solar energy in a hotel.

The exhibition showcased solutions aimed at reducing water and energy consumption, using eco-friendly materials for furniture and textiles, as well as initiatives to develop ecotourism in Uzbekistan.

“HORECA EXPO UZBEKISTAN 2024” served as an important platform for knowledge and experience exchange among participants from around the world, fostering the development of the hospitality and restaurant business in Uzbekistan and Central Asia as a whole. The exhibition helped strengthen international ties, attract new investments, and improve service levels in the hospitality industry.

The event is expected to contribute to strengthening Uzbekistan’s position as one of the centers of the tourism and hospitality industry in the region.
