Hijacker of a car detained in Syrdarya region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 April, a resident of Samarkand region, hijacked a car of Lacetti model in Chilanzar district of Tashkent.

According to the Uzbek Interior Ministry, the hijacker was drunken. He stopped a taxi and sat down to the car.

Taking advantage of the moment, when the driver got distracted, he hijacked the car. As a result of the measures taken, the man was arrested with a stolen car in the territory of Syrdarya region.

In fact, a criminal case was opened, an investigation is underway.
