Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 January 2025, Minister of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan Bobir Islamov held talks with a delegation from Henan Investment Group.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation in geology and mining.

Special attention was given to attracting investments to the industry and forming a stable resource base for the energy sector.

Representatives of Henan Investment Group highlighted the strategic importance of Uzbekistan for the development of their business and proposed the creation of a permanent working group to coordinate joint projects.

Additionally, the company expressed its intention to open a representative office in Uzbekistan, which they believe will contribute to further deepening economic cooperation within the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative.

The proposal was met with interest, and both sides agreed to develop a specific action plan for implementing joint projects in the near future.
