Economy 25/04/2007 Health Care Week in Uzbekistan opens in Tashkent

 

“Health Care Week in Uzbekistan – TIHE 2007”, large scale medical project, opened in Tashkent on 24 April.

 

ITE Uzbekistan, exhibition and conference organizer, organized “Health Care Week in Uzbekistan – TIHE 2007”.

 

The project unites 12th Tashkent International Exhibition “Health care – TIHE 2007”; 2nd Central-Asian International Specialized Exhibition “APTEKA EXPO 2007”; 1st Uzbek International Exhibition “Beauty and aesthetic medicine - BEAUTY 2007”; 3rd Uzbek International Exhibition “Stomatology Uzbekistan 2007”.

 

“Health Care Week” will be held from 24 to 27 April in Tashkent. This year the expositions are located in two exhibition areas. “TIHE 2007”, “APTEKA EXPO 2007”, and “BEAUTY UZBEKISTAN 2007” exhibitions are located in two halls of the central Exhibition Hall of UzExpoCentre. “Stomatology Uzbekistan 2007” exhibition will be held in the Intercontinental Hotel.

 

Organizer of the main event of the medicine in Uzbekistan is an International Exhibition Company ITE Uzbekistan, which is a leader of the exhibition business of the country.

 

Official support to the exhibitions is provided by Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan; JSC “Uztibtеchnika”; Association of Dentists of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Mayor Office of Tashkent city and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

 

The Health Care week has developed on the basis of the largest in Uzbekistan international exhibition “HEALTH CARE – TIHE”. The TIHE exhibition for the first time was held in 1995. Over 12 years of its existence the TIHE has become the most significant event of the healthcare industry not only in Uzbekistan, but also in the whole Central-Asian region. For the medical workers the TIHE exhibition is the only professional forum of Uzbekistan, in which the medical workers of the country and the world are planning to participate from year to year.

 

Mr. Firuz Nazirov, Health Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in his welcoming letter to the participants of the exhibition noted that: “An annual Tashkent International Exhibition ‘Health care - TIHE’ has become a school of new medical technologies of high educational and scientific value. Continuously renewable exhibits of the advanced medical technology and medical products attract a close attention of the medical specialists”.

 

Taking into account that an obsolete medical technology is being gradually replaced in Uzbekistan, such appraisal of the exhibition by the main medical institution of the country speaks of the important role of the TIHE in scientific and technical equipping of the healthcare sector of the country.

 

In particular, according to the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as of today over 100,000 units of medical technology, including over 10,000 units of modern high-technology equipment are being used in medical and preventive treatment facilities of the country. Moreover, currently a number of projects, within the framework of which modern medical equipment in the amount of 180 million US dollars will be delivered to health care institutions before 2009, are being implemented in Uzbekistan.

 

This year number of participants of the exhibitions, united by TIHE 2007 exceeded 130 companies from 18 countries of the world. Among the participants of the exhibition companies from Europe, CIS, East, Asia and Africa. The following countries are going to represent stands of their leading companies: Austria, Byelorussia, Germany, Iran, Italy, India, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Switzerland, South Korea, Yemen and Bangladesh.

 

The “TIHE 2007” exhibitions will present the latest scientific and technical developments in the field of medicine, which are necessary for diagnostics, prevention and treatment of various diseases.

 

For the first time the 1st Uzbek International Exhibition “Beauty and Aesthetic Medicine – Beauty Uzbekistan 2007” will be held within the framework of the Health Care Week – TIHE 2007. The newly-designed products of the beauty industry, laser equipment, instruments and preparations, suture materials, which are used in the field of aesthetic medicine, dietary supplements, natural and medicative cosmetics will be presented at the stands of the exhibition.

 

For the first time the 1st International Scientific Conference on Cardiology and Cardiosurgery will be held within the framework of the Health Care Week. At the present time the cardiological service of Uzbekistan numbers about 700 cardiologists.

 

The Republican Specialized Centre of Cardiology was established in 1996 on the basis of the Uzbek scientific-research institute of cardiology. A single network of cardiological service has been formed in the country. Cardiological health centres were set up in each region and nowadays there are 11 of them, also there are 369 cardiological departments and offices, 1,589 electrocardiography and 469 functional diagnostics rooms. One of the main tasks of the country’s cardiologists lies in reduction of cardiovascular case rate, which cannot be solved without usage of international experience and scientific exchange between practicing cardiologists.

 

Leading specialists from Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan will deliver their reports at the 1st International Conference on Cardiology and Cardiosurgery. The forum of cardiologists will start on 25 April in UzExpoCentre.

 

The third Uzbek International Exhibition “Stomatology Uzbekistan 2007” will be held from 25 to 27 April in the Intercontinental Hotel

 

The “Stomatology Uzbekistan 2007” exhibition was recognized as the “Main international forum of stomatologists of the Central Asia”. Traditionally the third Tashkent International Forum of Dentists will be held within the framework of the exhibition and leading scientists, in which professors of dental clinics from Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan, South Korea and Uzbekistan confirmed their participation.
