The training was organized by the joint project of UNDP Uzbekistan and Central Bank of Uzbekistan “Support to development of microfinancing sector”, regional project of GTZ, Microfinance Center of Central and Eastern Europe and CIS and Association of Microfinance Organizations and Credit Unions of Uzbekistan (NAMOCU).
Social impact of microfinance organization, including positive impact to prosperity of population through stimulation small businesses, expanding access to quality education and healthcare, is one of the important factors for assessment of their activity.
The missions and targets of the majority microfinance organizations have social angle and this requires tools for effective management of social results and reporting. Progress monitoring and assessment helps to improve activity of the microfinance organizations.
Microfinance developed several tools, which help them to assess and manage social impact. The training was aimed at getting acquainted heads of microfinance organizations with methods and tools on management of social impact and further creating effective strategy for work with clients, service development, etc.
The training participants received information on methods on introduction and institutionalization of social impact management in their organizations, ensuring effective decision making process and achieving balance between financial and social tasks of the organizations. They also familiarized with quality control tools and external reporting on social impact.
