Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law that introduces amendments and additions to several legislative acts, enhancing the protection of private property and owners’ rights.

According to the new law, provisions are made for compensating property owners for the value of housing and losses in the event of the loss of their property. Additionally, the law ensures the right of business entities to freely move goods, services, labor resources, and financial assets throughout the territory of Uzbekistan, regardless of their state registration location.

Furthermore, the Urban Planning Code of Uzbekistan has been amended to prohibit the design and construction of buildings and structures in landslide- and erosion-prone areas.

The law comes into effect upon its official publication.
