Green Zones to be created throughout Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Based on the Government’s order, Green Zones will be created throughout Uzbekistan.

As noted in the document, more than 5.5 million saplings of ornamental trees and shrubs were planted throughout the republic in the autumn season of 2018, and in the spring season of 2019 it is planned to plant more than 150 million decorative and fruit trees.

In addition, this year it is planned to create "green zones" in the territory of at least 10 hectares in each district center, 15 hectares in the centers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions, as well as the Sergeli district of the city of Tashkent, with tracks for pedestrians and cyclists as well as benches for rest.
