Governmental commission to assist victims in traffic accidents in Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A governmental commission has been set up in Uzbekistan, which will assist victims and families of those killed in traffic accidents in Kazakhstan.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to create a governmental commission, which included representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Health and other departments.

Members of the commission went to the scene to organize the provision of assistance to victims and to study the causes of accidents.

The governmental commission was instructed to arrange for the delivery of the dead and injured to their homeland, in coordination with the Kazakh side, to provide all necessary assistance to their families.

On Saturday, 20 April at 05.09 oin the morning in Kordai district of Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan, a traffic accident involving a shuttle bus with 49 passengers took place at 181 km of the Shimkent-Almaty highway.

As a result of an accident killed 11 people. Including three citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

About 32 people received injuries of varying severity, including 13 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, three of them in serious condition. All the injured were taken to the Korday district hospital.

Employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan immediately left for the scene of the incident.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are taking all the necessary actions together.
