Germany company won a tender on selection of general contractor on reconstruction of 50-km section of Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus-Beinau highway (A-380). The company signed a corresponding contract for US$86 million.
Within the project, GP Papenburg Baugesellschaft mbH will replace two-lane asphalt surface to four-lane cement concrete pavement at the area between 440 km and 490 km of Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus-Beinau highway (A-380).
The project is financed due to loan of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) at the size of US$115 million, which was issued to Uzbekistan in May 2010. The loan is the first from three tranches of multitranche financing facility of the ADB for US$600 million for construction of national highway.
