Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Russian company Gazprom supplies the maximum technically possible volume of gas to Uzbekistan in December. The head of the company, Alexander Miller, announced this during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Frosts also came to Uzbekistan in December, and our Uzbek friends and colleagues asked to increase gas supplies to Uzbekistan in a volume that doubled our daily obligations under the signed contract,” Miller noted.
At the moment, Gazprom supplies the maximum technically possible volume of gas to Uzbekistan via the Central Asia – Center gas pipeline, which was opened in October on behalf of the presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Miller noted that this provides Uzbekistan with the opportunity to receive gas in reverse mode, which is a key factor for getting through the autumn-winter period.
