G8 states not hold summit in Russia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The G8 group of industrialised nations will not meet in Russia this year, British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Monday in the Hague, the Netherlands.

“We should be clear there’s not going to be a G8 summit this year in Russia. That’s absolutely clear," Cameron told reporters on a visit to a nuclear security summit in The Hague.

In response, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia said that Russia is not clutching at the G8 if the Western countries do not need it.

“If our Western partners think that this format has outlived itself, then so be it. At the very least, we are not trying to hold on to this format, and we see no great tragedy if it (the G8) does not meet,” Mr Lavrov said in the Hague.
